Yezi Arts Promotions and Productions Collaboration.

We have just come back from a very successful and rewarding week in Lusaka performing at the Lusaka Playhouse. We were invited by Yezi Arts Promotions and Productions  – the organisers of the Lusaka April International Theatre Festival (where we won best production in the Community Theatre category).

The scope of the partnership was threefold ;

a) For Seka to train theatre groups in Lusaka on the practical aspects of theatre for development based on our experience

b) Three performances at the Lusaka Playhouse

c)  Exposure for Seka to media institutions

The week was very successful – we were on various talk shows on Zambian television and radio and had some great exposure.  We got to see what other groups in Lusaka are doing and hope to continue this partnership with Yezi Arts Promotions and Productions and tour to other parts of the country.

Celtel book on Traditional Ceremonies

We are heading towards our deadline for the book on Traditional Ceremonies in Zambia that we are working on – sponsored by Celtel Zambia. Look out for the book in November. Here are a few pictures from some of the ceremonies we have attended.
